How to choose precision punching materials
The materials suitable for precision punching are:
1、 Steel
Approximately 95% of precision punched parts are made of steel, with the majority being low-carbon steel. The main steel grades suitable for precision punching are listed in the table below:

2、 Copper and copper alloys
The precision punching performance of copper and copper alloys depends on their chemical composition and the degree of cold rolling. Lead yellow copper has poor plasticity and is not suitable for precision punching. The precision punching adaptability of copper and copper alloys is shown in the following table:

2、 Aluminum and aluminum alloys
Aluminum and aluminum alloys can also be precision punched, and their chemical composition and degree of cold rolling affect the precision punching performance.
Aluminum of various purities is very soft, has good plasticity, and is easy to achieve precision punching, but is limited by the work hardening caused by cold rolling. The precision stamping adaptability of aluminum and aluminum alloys is shown in the following table:
